In 1969, when most are thinking of retiring, Alexander and Madeleine Lombard in their 60’s with their youngest son Claude established LOMBARD The Paper People in the shed of their Box Hill home. From the beginning, LOMBARD The Paper People revolutionised the paper industry by pioneering new methods and issues that have now become standard industry practice. The company was a pioneer in the supporting of ecological and environmental awareness causes such as “Save the Whales”, recycling news print, and were the first to supply photodegradable and biodegradable plastics.
Since school age Claude’s daughters Danielle, Michelle and Anouk, have been involved in the business. In 2010 the company established the “Family Board”, made up of Claude & Susan Lombard, daughters Danielle Burd, Anouk Lombard, Michelle Kevill and son-in-law Andrew Kevill, with each member handling different parts of the organisation.
Even though Claude is the force behind the company, he has passed on his vast knowledge to all the members of his family which will ensure the prosperity and continued growth of the company.
